February Finishes #03 : ScrappyTriple-Zip pouch

Hi everyone!

If you has been following me long enough, you would know that I love making pouches.  When I found Debbie's of A Quilter's Table,is having  a sew along party namely Triple-Zip Along, I am so excited and join in the fun.  This is how my first Triple-Zip pouch looks like.  It was made 100% from scrap fabrics and  due to that I name it Scrappy Triple-Zip Pouch.

This is how the back looks like.  I used QAYG technique.

and this is the inside of the pouch. I used dark polka dot fabric for the lining.

I love the colors and definitely this piece I will keep for myself.

2012 To Do List

Hi everyone!!

I've joined  2012 NewFO Challenge at Cat Patches.  There is no better way to motivate myself to achieve my goal(to use up all my scraps) other than to sign up for a challenge or Quilt Along with  other quilters in the blog land.  To register myself  I need to share my new sewing projects list. So, in no particular order, here are my sewing to do list for 2012.

1.  Scraptacular Quilt for my girl... inspired by this pattern at Freda's Hive.

2.  Quilt for my sister(still looking for the pattern)

3. Quilt for my eldest boy using this pattern that I learn to do at Sew Lux.

4.  Patchwork skirts – for myself, for my daughters, for my nieces (age range from 2 – 10 yrs old) , using the Japanese scraps fabric(hope to clear  all these scraps fabric by April)

5. Cushion pillow cases ... patchwork pillowcases, patchwork fabric bins(big enough to keep my future scraps).
6. Quilted Hexagon bag - re-visit  my quilted hexagon bag pattern.
7.   Mug rug  as a gift for my subordinates(10 pcs)
8.   Pot holders for my kitchen and my mum
9.  Last but not least, I would like to make another quilt with embroidery,12 blocks, one block each month .... I'm thinking of using this pattern for the quilt.  I found this at Just A Bit Frayed blog...

Well... that's about it for this year.   For those interested to join this challenge my visit Cat Patches blog for the details.

Happy Sewing!!
