June Finishes #01 : Scraptacular Quilt

This post is part of the 2013 FAL,and  A Lovely Year of Finishes

Yeah...I finished sewing this scraptacular quilt. The quilt top was completed in January 2012 .   The finished size is 52" X 65" This is how the front looks like.

and this is the back.

This is my first quilt that used machine. I would say that the result is not as beautiful as the pieces that I hand quilt.

June goals

Hello!

May has been a busy month for me...not busy with sewing but with my children and my day work.  Looking back in May...I only have two finishes which are pouches and crocheted cushion cover.  This scraptacular quilt is still a work in progress... Sewing that I did so far... and I machine quilt it.

So it will be my main project to finish for A Lovely Year of Finishes for June 2013.  I'm linking to join the party over at Fiber of All Sorts
A Lovely Year of Finishes

Other UFOs project that I look into finishing in June are...to piece these tiny Value Added blocks into a quilt top. I've started this quilt sometime last year and left it half way done.

and to start hand quilt this garden steps quilt top.

May finishes #02 : Crocheted cushion cover

This post is part of the Stash Buster Challenge!

Hi Everyone!
Yes! I'm very slow indeed in my stash-buster challenge.  This is my second project for the stash-buster challenge.  I've finished crocheting these African flowers ...
 into granny squares and
turn it into this cushion cover.  This is how the front looks like. I used 17 pieces of African flowers in total.  16 pieces for the front

and a piece for the back. The cover fit for a cushion size 16" x 16".  I use the photo that I take before the cover completed...

My next project for the stash-buster challenge is to use-up these cotton thread.
I'm sharing this at the following linky party :

Happy Crocheting!!
