Crochet Along

This is the first Crochet Along that I've participated. It was host by Scottie...at the Oxford Family blog.
For those interested to join the fun, you may visit her blog for the details... I make used all the yarns that available from my stock... since I don't have time to go shopping for new yarns.  And these are what I  choose and there will be more colours since we need to crochet 88 pieces of Granny Square...

Basically the Crochet Along is already in week 3 and since I just came back from my long holidays I only started crocheting on 10th September... and following are the squares that I've completed up to round 4 so far...total of 11 pieces only.

I am sharing this at  Crochet Along Week 3 and WiP Wednesday

Embroidery 101 : Block 5

It has been a busy month .... Since we are preparing for the festival
that was just around the corner, I left with no time to
commit with stitching the Block 5 for the
Embroidery 101: Quilt Along on time.

Here is my Block 5 which was just completed today.

Happy Stitching!! and ...
to all Muslim Wish you 'Happy Eid Ul-Fitr'

WIP Wednesday

I've been busy crocheting to complete orders from my customers.
Basically the orders are mainly kopiah with name for children.

I'm half way crocheting this piece... , hope I can complete by tonight.
Being a full time working mother with five children makes me
left with limited hours for myself and hobbies.

And this baby cardigan that I've been working on sometime ago
have to temporarily stop too, since I need to rush  finishing  all the
orders before end of this month.

I'm sharing this post at

Happy Crocheting!!

Crochet projects

Crochet projects that I've being working on for the whole week are these three "kopiah"with name.
Kopiah as we call it in Malaysia is a rounded cap worn by Muslim men.

Basically all these "kopiah" with name are orders from a customer for her children.

These two kopiah are basically from two different pattern.  The one on the top I used hdc stitch and on the bottom is using dc stitch.  It is my first try... just to see the different.  Upon completion,  I found that crochet using the dc stitch was much faster in completing the project.

Anyway, I love the hdc stitch pattern better if to compare with the dc stitch since the "kopiah" looks more sturdy and neat.

Happy crocheting!!

Embroidery 101 : Block 4

This week what I did  for sewing was stiching the
Block 4 of  Embroidery 101 Quilt Along
at Clover &Violet.

The most challenging part when stitching this pattern was when
working with the long and short stich.
That is why, I choose to stitch the bird and the roof  pattern
after I have completed the others...

Anyway with the little diagram provided by Jennie
on how to worked the stitches I managed to
complete it.

The little diagram was really helpful!!

Just to share with everyone following are all the four completed
blocks for the Embroidery 101 : Stitch and Quilt Along.

I also share this post at Sew Darn Crafty
and Clover & Violet.

Happy Stitching!!

Tuition Bag ...

Adam, my younger son has been asking
for ages for a tuition bag.
He would like to have a tote bag
with zipper to be used when attending his afternoon class.
His school bag is just too big for him...
Basically sewing a bag does not take so much time ...
just sometime there are too many things
in my head that makes me tend to forget ...

And today,I come out with this tuition bag for him
with a pocket in the inside.
This bag was made using stash fabric.

He insist to have 'tuition bag' wording stitch on it...

and since there is a ship...
he also asked to embelish it with a yoyo, as a sun ...

And this is how the completed bag looks like!
He was so happy  with the result.

To him everything was
just perfect as how he wants it to be...
and here is Adam, showing off his new bag!!

 Happy Sewing !!!

Yo-Yo Along

I am so happy today upon received a parcel from the post Office!!
Do you want to know what was inside it???
Well it was a yo-yo maker...

I never expect to received it this soon since the supplier
promised to post it only during weekends...
Anyway I send my many thanks to Zila the owner
of  the shop for sending it earlier...
By having this yo-yo maker, now I can participate
in the Yo-Yo Along with Penny at Sew Take A Hike ...
If you're interested to join, please visit her blog for the details.

Being so excited having this tool,
I start to play around with it.
And this is my first yo-yo made using the maker...

And as at today, I've already made  25 yoyos ...
and that mean I still have about 983 yoyos to go
if  I would like to have the same size of yoyo quilt as Penny's.

Happy Sewing!!!

WIP Wednesday

My Work In Progress currently is crocheting a Baby Cardigan.

This is not my first attempt in crocheting baby cardigan.
The first baby cardigan was from the Free Pattern website...
which turn out to be too small(can't find the photo to share here with everyone)
This might be due to the yarn and hook that
I used were different from the recommended size.

I've  learn a lesson from my first cardigan experience...
so for this new pattern I am not exactly follow the pattern  ...
I do a lot of modification to it ...
hopefully it turn out perfect...
anyway the result can only be seen once I've completed it.

Happy Crocheting!!!

Embroidery 101: Block 3

Another week with the Embroidery 101 : Stitch and Quilt Along with Clover & Violet...
Pattern printed and with a bag full of thread ...
I am ready to start stiching the third pattern for the Block 3.

This is the Block that I choose to stitch the third pattern...

I choose to start stiching the big red flower first
since it is the biggest ... but upon completion
I found that I was not too happy with my stitching .
The red big flower stitching was not as neat as I hope it to be...

So nothing else can I do except to rip it all out and

re-stitch the big red flower all over again ...

and the result ... I am more than happy..

I just love how it turn out ...

Satisfied and really enjoy stitching it...

 Happy Stiching to all !!!
