the Ruby Market Tote:Stitch & Quilt Along

Following are the fabrics that I will use to start off with the Ruby Market Tote Bag : Stitch & Quilt Along.  Since the Ruby kits that I ordered not yet arrived, I have to make do with the fabrics that I have in my collection...
and following will be the fabric to stitch the embroidery for the pocket ....

Hope it turn out OK ...this is the only fabric that I can find from my stash.

Crochet Pattern

These are what I've been doing during the weekend... writing a crochet pattern - baby hat and slouchy hat ...

and  this was the result... Baby Puff Hat for a baby girl.

Basically this hat will be a gift for a colleague who is already in her third trimester pregnancy..... I'm not sure whether it will be a girl or a boy anyway since the color is sweet for a girl so I designed a hat pattern for a girl... embellished with a pink flower.

I will crochet another one for a baby boy ... just in case if she had a boy instead of a girl. I'm thinking of crocheting a Baby Brim Hat ...

I also give my hand in crocheting a slouchy hat or should I call it beret ? Basically this is my first trial in writing a pattern for a slouchy hat. I used double crochet, half double crochet and cluster stitch in this pattern.

This is how it looks like at first  after a few rounds... the hat was too tight...

I am totally not satisfied with the result so I pull out everything and re-do again...

and after a few times doing this... at the end I have to satisfied with this...

I used 3 balls of 100% Arcylic yarn, weight 45 g to complete this adult size hat.

Happy Crocheting!!
