April Goals : To-Do-List

Here it comes...April, my birthday month.  I born on 1st April and with hope this month I will be more productive and able to accomplish all the goals I've listed here.

Firstly and priority given is for this Scrappy String Quilt top which I would like to finish.  It is a carry forward UFO from March... This project is the main goal to accomplish for  "A Year of Finishes"   Basically I already started joining the pieces but time did not permit me to finish it up in March.

Secondly is another UFO  that I've carry forward from February...To piece all these blocks into a quilt top...

Thirdly is  to start hand quilt this scraptacular quilt top...

Fourth - to finish sewing these charm squares into a bag for myself...

Fifth is to continue stash busting my yarn....and  I am trying to finish my current Work in Progress...these African flower which was one of my goal in March....again another carry forward project. Oooh...I was really slow in March!

March Finishes #01: Pouches

Hi Everyone!!

My first finishes for this month are these pouches ...Hello Kitty pouches, size 4.5" X 8"

Make-up pouch , size 6.5" x 8"
This is how the inside looks like. It comes with a side pocket with velcro snap for closure.
And these are all the finished pouches...

Another finishes for March...a  Scrappy Triple-zip pouch that I sew for a friend. She request to have the same colors and design as the one that I've made for myself in February.  And for that I comply and this is the result... and of course she was so..so happy!

I love this pattern and you will not be suprised to see me sewing this again... of course enough of the green, blue and red. I would love to try in other colors...  anyway I will keep my style of  sewing small projects from scrap fabrics using QAYG technique.  If you would like to try this, you can  find the tutorial of this triple-zip pouch by Debbie over at The Quilter's Table.

Honey Comb Quilt Along

Hi Everyone!!

I am sharing my newFO for the month of March. The Honeycomb Quilt Along hosted by Jennelle over at Echinops & Aster.

Honeycomb Stitch-Along

For this project Jennelle is using the honeycomb fabric by Kate Spain.  For myself, I am using the leftover fabrics from my collection which I bought from the local shop.
We are already at  Embroidery tutorial week. You are still not too late to join in the fun. This quilt along will ends on April 16th. You will learn how to do English Paper Piecing technique, hand applique and embroidery.  This is my progress so far...

Happy Sew Along!
