August goal : A Lovely year of Finishes

Part of the 'A Lovely Year of Finishes' post

Hello Everyone!

Yeahh !!  another project  finished...But once again I have to admit that this is just another UFO project that takes me two months to accomplished. It is the goal that I set for July and August for "A Lovely Year of Finishes" which is the Jacob's Ladder quilt top and here is the result....

I find that sewing these quilt top is the most difficult to compare with other quilts that I had done before.  There are  many small and tiny pieces that require your patience when sewing them together.  Anyway I love the result even though not perfect but I feel happy that I finished it.

Happy Sewing!

A Year of Finishes : August goal setting

Hi Everyone!

Once again...here I am setting a monthly goal to accomplish.   Same as previous month I don't make much progress with my July goal.  So for August it  will remain the same goal setting...which is to complete the Jacob's Ladder quilt top...Basically I only have to sew the border to have the top finished and done... time was not on my side.  So here is my progress so far with my last month goal... which I'm looking forward to have it finished in August.

The fabric that I will use for the border.

Happy Sewing!!

A Year of Finishes : July 2013 goal

Hello Everyone!

June is a quiet month for me.  I only have one finishes in June which was the Scraptacular quilt - the goal that I set for "A Year of Finishes" party.

A Lovely Year of Finishes
For July month I am looking forward in finishing the Jacob's Ladder block into a quilt top.  I've started cutting the fabric last year as part of the Value Added Quilt Along hosted by Rachel of Stitched in Color. The tutorial was shared by Blue Elephant Stitches.

Happy Quilting!!

June Finishes #01 : Scraptacular Quilt

This post is part of the 2013 FAL,and  A Lovely Year of Finishes

Yeah...I finished sewing this scraptacular quilt. The quilt top was completed in January 2012 .   The finished size is 52" X 65" This is how the front looks like.

and this is the back.

This is my first quilt that used machine. I would say that the result is not as beautiful as the pieces that I hand quilt.

June goals

Hello!

May has been a busy month for me...not busy with sewing but with my children and my day work.  Looking back in May...I only have two finishes which are pouches and crocheted cushion cover.  This scraptacular quilt is still a work in progress... Sewing that I did so far... and I machine quilt it.

So it will be my main project to finish for A Lovely Year of Finishes for June 2013.  I'm linking to join the party over at Fiber of All Sorts
A Lovely Year of Finishes

Other UFOs project that I look into finishing in June are...to piece these tiny Value Added blocks into a quilt top. I've started this quilt sometime last year and left it half way done.

and to start hand quilt this garden steps quilt top.

April Goals : To-Do-List

Here it comes...April, my birthday month.  I born on 1st April and with hope this month I will be more productive and able to accomplish all the goals I've listed here.

Firstly and priority given is for this Scrappy String Quilt top which I would like to finish.  It is a carry forward UFO from March... This project is the main goal to accomplish for  "A Year of Finishes"   Basically I already started joining the pieces but time did not permit me to finish it up in March.

Secondly is another UFO  that I've carry forward from February...To piece all these blocks into a quilt top...

Thirdly is  to start hand quilt this scraptacular quilt top...

Fourth - to finish sewing these charm squares into a bag for myself...

Fifth is to continue stash busting my yarn....and  I am trying to finish my current Work in Progress...these African flower which was one of my goal in March....again another carry forward project. Oooh...I was really slow in March!
