Peasant top and a New FO

Hello!!

I just finished sewing a peasant top for my eight years old daughter during the weekend. This is how it looks like...
I follow the free pattern tutorial by  Lier at Ikat Bag.  It is a very simple pattern and easy to follow even for a beginner.

With that finished, I start to cut and sew my February New FO Quilt Block. This quilt is for my sister since the stash fabric were given by her.   I used nine patch design ...

and this is how I intend to arrange each block when everything finished.

Happy Sewing!!

For those interested to join the Sew Along may click  this link 2012 Sew Scraps Along which will bring you to the page for details on how it works.   There will be a lot of tutorials and Scrap projects that may inspire you to Sew Along...

I've started cutting and sewing the pieces of the Scraptacular Picnic Quilt ,first tutorial from Freda's Hive yesterday....

Fabric basket

Hi everyone!

I just finished sewing this fabric basket.... a gift for my husband.  The height of this basket is 5.5cm.   I used the following pattern which I took from the Japanese sewing book ...by just following the diagram since I can't read Japanese.

It gives me an idea to sew one for my hubby since he loves to put his coins on the mug rug that I've made  him.

And here goes the coins into its new home...

The fabric basket with full of coins at the corner of the computer table.

I am sharing this at the Sew and Share Challenge and Stash project of the Month.
Wishing everyone Happy Holidays

and  Happy New Year!!

Mug Rugs

This is how my first Mug Rug looks like after binding.  I made this for my own used. My mug rug at its new home ...  my office and with its new friend ... the mug.

Since sewing a mug rug don't take much of my time, I did another mug rug for my hubby.  The color of my choice are range of orange and brown.  This time I add embroidery pattern at the center.

The completed mug rug....

I am sharing this at Mug Rug Madness Flickr Group and Stitch in Color!! and also shared this at Clover & Violet Stash Project...

Happy Sewing and Stitching!!
