December Finishes #01 : Crocheted Pencil Cases

Hi everyone!

It has been a while I share my finishes at my blog.  Today I am showing you my recent finished project which are crocheted pencil cases.  The first one is meant to be for a girl. I used pink and yellow color.

The second one I used blue and white...which meant to be for boys

Both pencil cases are using the same checker pattern.  Below are both pencil cases after I add the zipper puller.

I love the girl set with flower and butterfly zipper puller which just make it perfect.

September Finishes #02: Quilted Tote Bag

This post is part of the 2013 FAL

Hi Everyone!!

Yes! I finished another bag in September.  This is not a new sewing project. I've started this project in 2011 when I joined the Stitch and Quilt Along hosted by Jennie over at Clover and Violet. I've accidently make mistake when cutting the fabrics. I save all the small pieces that I've wrongly cut for future projects.... and here it is a tote bag.

I used the same embroidery design from the sew along for the outside pocket.

It comes with a zipper closure and

with a pocket at the inside of the bag.

I still have another one which is a work in progress but in different colors and design for the outside pocket. Till then...
Happy Sewing to all!!

August goal : A Lovely year of Finishes

Part of the 'A Lovely Year of Finishes' post

Hello Everyone!

Yeahh !!  another project  finished...But once again I have to admit that this is just another UFO project that takes me two months to accomplished. It is the goal that I set for July and August for "A Lovely Year of Finishes" which is the Jacob's Ladder quilt top and here is the result....

I find that sewing these quilt top is the most difficult to compare with other quilts that I had done before.  There are  many small and tiny pieces that require your patience when sewing them together.  Anyway I love the result even though not perfect but I feel happy that I finished it.

Happy Sewing!

A Year of Finishes : August goal setting

Hi Everyone!

Once again...here I am setting a monthly goal to accomplish.   Same as previous month I don't make much progress with my July goal.  So for August it  will remain the same goal setting...which is to complete the Jacob's Ladder quilt top...Basically I only have to sew the border to have the top finished and done... time was not on my side.  So here is my progress so far with my last month goal... which I'm looking forward to have it finished in August.

The fabric that I will use for the border.

Happy Sewing!!
